Recently we have seen several short-term advertising contracts come to an end on Manchester Metrolink, but this time we bring news of a longer-term ad being removed. The advert on 3089 had been in place for a year but has now come off again to see it back into the usual fleet livery of silver and yellow.
The advert that 3089 had been carrying since August 2024 was for Hits Radio. This was its third advert with previous designs for Dippy on Tour (January-December 2020) and Booking.com (August-December 2023) having also featured.
This had been the third advert for Hits Radio – 3066 (May 2022-August 2023) and 3103 (June-October 2018) being the others.

A number of other trams have returned to fleet livery since having adverts removed in recent months and this is as good a place as any to get photos onto the fleet list! This is 3023 at Deansgate-Castlefield.
