Friday 15th and Saturday 16th August sees the return of concerts at Wythenshawe Park, and what better way to get there by tram? Extra trams will be running in the Airport line on both days to increase the frequency, although the whole Metrolink network will be seeing a reduded frequency.
Live from Wythenshawe Park will see Fontaines D.C. perform on Friday 15th and Sam Fender on Saturday 16th August.
On both days as well as the usual Victoria to Manchester Airport service an additional Deansgate-Castlefield to Manchester Airport service will be running. With the reduced frequency across the network this will mean trams will be running every 7.5 minutes to the event (with Moor Road being the closest tramstop to the event).
The rest of the Metrolink network will see the usual service pattern, although it will be every 15 minutes rather than every 12 minutes.
