In Pictures: 53 back in fleet livery

Although the fleet list was updated at the time, we didn’t seem to mention on the news pages that there was another advert removal on the West Midlands Metro during May 2025. The tram involved in this change was 53 which lost its KFC vinyls.

53 had received the KFC adverts in March 2025 and they remained in place until May 2025 when they were stripped at the end of the contract. This had been the second KFC advert seen on the West Midlands Metro following on from 58 in July/August 2024.

This had been the first time that 53 was out of standard fleet colours.

As mentioned recently the West Midlands Metro fleet currently has two tram with adverts – 36 and 58.
