Magical May event at Crich this May Day Bank Holiday weekend

Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May will see the Crich Tramway Village have a packed programme of springtime fun and fairy dust as part of the “Magical May” event. There will be Spring magic and enhancement for all the family alongside all the usual museum attractions including the operating trams of course.

Throughout the two days of the event there will be a Fairy Trail where you can meet the Fairy Queen and make a wish whilst you will also have the chance to make your own wand and learn wand technique with the Wandering Wizard. There will also be owls from Woodies Wings and there will be a magic show at Wizard School. The whole family can make a fairy den, listen to a story teller and look out for meadow sprites as they make their way around the museum.

There will also be live folk music from The Boot Hill Toe Tappers on Sunday 4th May and Malin Hill on Monday 5th May. You can also celebrate May Day on the Monday with the chance to have a go at Maypole dancing, traditional interactive fun for adults and children alike.

Events Manager at Crich, Candi Bell, said: “This magical event continues to be popular and we hope that families will take the opportunity to get involved with the activities over the Bank Holiday, which are all included in the price of the entrance ticket, and those with 12 month return tickets can use them for this event. We also love it when children get into the spirt of it and dress up as their favourite wizard or in their finest fairy costume”
