London Tramlink services to New Addington will be suspended from 2200 on Wednesday 4th December until the end of service on Thursday 12th December to allow major improvement works to take place. The work will be undertaken in two phases with no trams running from Sandilands to New Addington until Sunday 8th December and then from Addington Village to New Addington between Monday 9th and Thursday 12th December.
Transport for London have said that the work is required to improve the infrastructure along the route to ensure a continued safe and reliable service. The closure will enable 24 hour work to take place and this reduces the overall length of time of the works involved
and will be the “least disruptive to the local community and those who use the service”.
Replacement buses will be put into place during the works and trams should be back to normal from Friday 13th December.
