Around the World in Trams: San Francisco 1061

Its that time of the week again when we go “Around the World in Trams” and we stay in San Francisco for this edition.

Pictured below is another PCC car which Muni purchased from SEPTA in the early 1990s to be used on the “F” line historic trolley service. Now numbered 1061 in the Muni fleet, this one started off life as 2116 when it was operated by the Philadelphia Transportation Company between 1948 and 1992. This particular PCC now carries one of the “tribute” liveries with it being in the Pacific Electric livery of red, orange and silver.

This shot was captured on Market Street.
