In Pictures: Another Alstom Citadis arrives in Nottingham

The third of the 22 strong fleet of Alstom Citadis trams for Nottingham Express Transit has now arrived at the Wilkinson Street Depot. The tram – believed to be 218 although once again it currently has no external number visible – was first spotted at the depot on Wednesday 6th November, although it is not known for sure when it was actually delivered to Nottingham (any confirmation of this would be most appreciated!)

Meanwhile work is continuing on constructing the Phase Two extensions with the first rails now having been laid in Chilwell Road, Beeston. The extensions of Nottingham Express Transit are scheduled to open to the public by the end of 2014.

  1. Samuel says:

The tram was delivered on the night of Tuesday, 29th October, according to posters which were put up a week before warning car park customers. I did not see the tram myself until Sunday 3rd November while passing by, but i am not a regular tram user so its likley that it was delivered on the 29th.

Yes it was delivered on the night of Tuesday 29.10.2013

  3. Bob Gell says:

When I visited Wilkinson St this morning (Monday 11 November), at least two of the new trams carried external fleet numbers – 217 and 218.
The third new tram was too far away to check.
