This edition of “Trams &” is going into preservation as we’re taking a trip to the Heaton Park Tramway.
On 26th March 2023 the Heaton Park Tramway started another season of operation with a special launch event for Blackpool 619 which had undergone workshop attention over the previous few years. As part of that event they were also joined by a couple of Blackpool buses which are seen in this photo. The tram part of this photo is actually another Blackpool vehicle as Brush 623 is seen on the left hand side outside Middleton Road Depot as it heads down towards Middleton Road Gates.
Then on the right hand side we see the two visiting Blackpool buses. In front is Optare Delta 133 (new to Fylde Transport in 1991) and then just behind that is double decker Leyland Atlantean 353 (built in 1982).
