In Pictures: Supertram 125 fails at Hillsborough

There were slight delays caused to services on the Stagecoach Supertram network (on what was the last day of Stagecoach operation!) on Thursday 21st March after Siemens-Duewag built tram 125 suffered a fault at Hillsborough tramstop.

125 was at the citybound platform when it suffered a fault and blocked the line for anything else which wanted to go from either Middlewood or Malin Bridge to the city centre and then on to Meadowhall or Halfway. To avoid no service running in that direction though trams from the city terminated at the other platform and then used the crossover to return. The tram was fixed at the platform and able to return under its own power.

As 125 waits at the stop waiting to be resurrected 110 waits outside the usual Malin Bridge/Middlewood bound platform which was occupied.

And it was occupied by 101 which is seen here using the crossover. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 21st March 2024)
