Out and About: Stagecoach Supertram – July 2023

It is time for another edition of “Out and About” and this time we are back in Sheffield for a selection of images taken of the two fleets of trams which operate on the Supertram network.

July 2023 was not exactly the sunniest of July’s we’ve seen and on the day of this visit to Sheffield it was another drizzly day as we see in these photos. This photo shows 103 which is at Westfield on the Blue route as it operates between Halfway and Malin Bridge. This is the first stop after Halfway.

399 206 is one of two Tram-Trains to be fitted with wheel profiles which only enables it to run on the conventional tram network. On this day it was being used for Driver Training as we see in this image of it at Cathedral with it about to reverse.

In use on the Tram-Train service between Cathedral and Rotherham Parkgate was 399 205 which is seen here approaching Woodbourn Road on the way out to Parkgate. (All Photographs by John Whittingham, 17th July 2023)
