Revised plans confirmed for Heaton Park Tramway End of Season Gala

Volunteer availability this weekend has meant that the original plans for the End of Season Gala at the Heaton Park Tramway on Sunday 1st October have had to be scaled back slightly but despite that they are still pulling out all the stops to ensure all operational trams run in service at some point in the day.

The day is set to be split into three parts:

1200-1330 “Little and Large”

Hull 96 (smallest tram in the fleet) will run alongside Blackpool 619 (longest tram in the fleet

1330-1500 “Beside the Seaside”

619 remains in service and will be joined by Blackpool 623

1500-1630 “The Bee Network”

Everything goes local in honour of the recent launch of the Bee Network across Greater Manchester with Manchester 765 and Stockport 5 due to be in service

As always trams running are subject to availability and the Great British weather!

In addition the Museum and Shop at Middleton Road Depot will be open throughout the event.
