Having spent the past few weeks at Derby Castle Sheds our final 1977 image from the Isle of Man goes back outside.
There are many classic images on the Manx Electric Railway – with a lot them have little changed over the years – and this photo shows one of them at Port Jack. With Douglas Bay in the background Winter Saloon 22 is climbing away from Douglas having just passed the parade of shops which at the time appears to have included an arcade. This may have been taken in 1977 but apart from the cars and the different shop fronts very little has changed in the intervening years.
