Out and About: A rainy Thursday at Beamish

In this edition of “Out and About” we are in the northeast of England as we see trams running at Beamish on a rainy Thursday in September.

The tram fleet at Beamish may be relatively small but despite that they have most weather conditions covered with enclosed and open trams both available. On 22nd September it was very much a wet weather tram day and Sunderland 16 was one of two trams in service. Here it is in the Town with a group of children looking on.

The second tram in service was Oporto 196. Also in the Town – but heading in the opposite direction – the tram is seen in its South Shields colours. (Both Photographs by Trevor Hall, 22nd September 2022)
