Branch Line Society to tour Manchester Metrolink

Members of the Branch Line Society are set for a treat on Sunday 25th September when they get to tour parts of Manchester Metrolink not normally covered by service trams. “The Busy Bee” is a members only trip with only 60 places available – proceeds will be split equally between Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity and Manchester Youth Zone.

Planned to depart from Piccadilly at 1000 the tour is then scheduled to run:

Piccadilly siding – Piccadilly inbound – Deansgate-Castlefield centre road – Cornbrook – Trafford Bar – West Didsbury crossover – Old Trafford Depot gates – Manchester Airport non-preferred platform – Martinscroft crossover – Robinswood Road crossover – Sale Water Park – Martinscroft crossover – Trafford Depot No. 2 Road – No. 7 Road – No. 1 Road – Old Trafford – Timperley siding – Cornbrook pocket – Viaduct crossover – Pomona – Village – Cornbrook pocket – Exchange Square – St Peter’s Square – Piccadilly – Velopark – Piccadilly inbound

The tour should be finished at 1630.

Tickets cost £55 for adults (accompanied under 18s £27.50 reduction) and are only available to Branch Line Society members.
