Around the World in Trams: Lviv Holovnyi Railway Station

Its that time of the week again when we go “Around the World in Trams”. Lviv in the Ukraine is again the location.

These two views are outside Vokzal (Station) terminus outside Lviv Railway Station. The station is reached by a short double track branch alongside Chernivetska St, after which route 1 and route 9 both followed a circular route around the old town, 1 clockwise and 9 anti-clockwise, before returning to the station.  The magnificent station building dates from 1904.

With both photos dating from February 1994 this first image shows 1977 T-4 861 on route 9.

Whilst in this second photo we take a look at 1981 built KT-4 1019, with folk art decorations, on route 1.

Both Photographs by Donald Brooks
