Stop by Stop Nottingham Express Transit: Toton Lane line – Queens Medical Centre

We have an elevated stop for you today as “Stop by Stop” continues its way along the Toton Lane line in Nottingham.

We leave Gregory Street and soon turn along the A6005 before we reach the second significant bridge on this line as we start our journey through the extensive Queens Medical Centre site. This bridge not only provides a way through the hospital but is also where the Queens Medical Centre stop is located. With platforms either side of the tracks there is a complete canopy along the length of each platform but apart from that it is of a pretty standard design with ticket machines, passenger information displays, seating and information all included.

Looking the same way this time a tram has just arrived on its way to Toton Lane. That trams is 224. Access to two different areas of the hospital site can also be seen here.

230 leaves Queens Medical Centre bound for Hucknall. You can also make out the curve in the bridge as it leaves and starts to descend to ground level. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior, 20th September 2020)
