In Pictures: Latest on Supertram rail replacement project

Work on Area Two of this year’s rail replacement project on Stagecoach Supertram is now well underway with the current worksite now being on the outbound track from Bamforth Street stop to Burnaby Street. This is a longer section that most of the other sites so far this year and it did slightly overlap with work on the other track although access for road traffic into the city was maintained throughout. Stuart Cooke with the photography for us.

It’s been a familiar sight throughout the rail replacement project – the protective tent over the track to allow work to easily take place protected from the elements. Here the new track has been laid and is just waiting final adjustments.

A look along the road at the worksite with numerous protective tents in evidence. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 14th June 2019)
