More Metrolink delays after car collisions

It has been another week of cars colliding with trams on Manchester Metrolink with two incidents at either end of the week seeing delays to the service. Incidents happened on Monday 27th May in the city centre and Friday 31st May in the Audenshaw area. Neither collision was particularly serious although one person did suffer with minor injuries in the second incident.

The incident on Monday 27th May happened after a taxi collided with 3063 close to Manchester Central on Lower Mosley Street at the junction with Windmill at around 1830. There was only minor damage to both vehicles with services through the area suspended for just under an hour before they resumed but with delays.

Then on Friday 31st July an Audi collided with a tram on Droylsden Road in Audenshaw at around 1045. One person was treated for minor injuries at the scene and whilst the emergency services attended the scene there was no service between Droylsden and Ashton-under-Lyne.
