Tram allocations revealed for an Easter weekend of heritage tram action in Blackpool

It’s a bank holiday weekend and that means only one thing – the Gold heritage tram timetable will be in operation in Blackpool! The six tram service will run on thee days over the weekend: Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st and Sunday 22nd April with the return of the Green timetable and four trams on Friday 19th. A mix of trams will run on each day with seven different types of trams on show and if that’s not enough there is an Easter Treasure Hunt at Pleasure Beach on the Saturday and Sunday!

The standard Gold timetable will run between Saturday 20th and Sunday 22nd April with each of the six trams running through to Fleetwood at least once. For those trams allocated to diagrams A and D they will head to the northern outpost of the tramway twice. The remainder of the day will see a variety of different journeys running north from Pleasure Beach to North Pier/Tower, Cabin, Bispham, Little Bispham, Cleveleys and Thornton Gate.

Subject to the usual availability caveats the following trams are due to run on each day of the Gold timetable:

The Fleetwood Festival of Transport – Tram Sunday – have also teased that on Monday there will be a big surprise on Balloon 723 encouraging people to take a close look and tell them what you see. Judging by the allocation list above the biggest surprise may be that 723 doesn’t seem to be allocated to service on Monday!
