September Review – Crich: No. 12 – Sheffield 510

Today we have another one of the operational trams at Crich in images. This is currently the only operational electric tram from Sheffield in the national collection and it is of course Sheffield 510 complete with its special Last Tram livery.

At the start of 1st September we capture Sheffield 510 at Wakebridge. You will notice that the trolley has been turned and that the tram is about to head back to Town End on the wrong track – this was because Wakebridge was in temporary use as the northern terminus.

510 again. This time we see it passing the depot gates as it carries another load of passengers up the line. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior)
