September Review – Blackpool: No. 4 – Centenary 642

Another tram which enjoyed workshop attention during 2018 ahead of a return to service was Centenary 642, with it becoming the very first heritage tram to receive an advertising livery!

The full advert is seen to good effect in this shot of 642 at Bispham on the centre track. Although with modern fares this livery is based on an old advert that this tram carried including the fleet livery ends!

Another view of 642. This time we are at North Pier/Tower and the Centenary Car is heading south to Pleasure Beach. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior)
