It might still be November but Nottingham Express Transit are already getting in the festive spirit as they are going to run extra services between The Forest and the City Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays from Wednesday 21st November until Friday 21st December. This will mean that there will be a tram every five minutes between 1830 and 2200.
Florian Le Loroux, Marketing Manager at NET, commented: “We’ve introduced the extra trams on Wednesday in support of late night shopping in the city. Nottingham is a great place to shop this Christmas – as the Nottingham BID’s Christmas campaign says – Christmas is here – and we’re helping to make it easy for people to get here by adding these additional services. One of our trams has had a festive makeover too and forms part of the BID’s Christmas advertising campaign to attract shoppers and visitors to the city centre.”
It is hoped that the enhanced service on Fridays will be ideal for people meeting friends, colleagues or family for a Christmas Party in the City Centre.
