In Pictures: Crich Edwardian Event

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July saw the annual Edwardian Event at Crich Tramway Village with over 1,000 visitors attending at some point over the weekend. As well as the usual re-enactors – including a visit from Oscar Wilde – and a talk on the Manchester Corporation Tramways World War I Memorial Plaque there was an intensive tram service in operation which, on the Saturday, included the latest visit of Joseph to take Sheffield 15 for a spin between Town End and the depot crossover. Hazel Quarmby provides the pictures.

Despite overcast conditions on Saturday 15th July there are healthy number of passengers taking a ride on top of London County Council 106. The tram is working alongside Glasgow 22 with a northbound trip at Victoria Park.

A scene which could have been taken on Blackpool Prom in the 1920s as Toastrack 166 is passed by Standard 40.

A charming timeless photo as Joseph hauls Sheffield 15 past the fountain with a return trip to Town End.

Three Balcony cars in a row with Glasgow 22 behind Blackpool 40 and Chesterfield 7 at Stephenson Place. Blackpool 166 passes with a northbound service on 16th July.

Sunny skies on the afternoon of 16th July as Glasgow 22 and London County Council 106 are joined by Berlin 223 006-4 at Stephenson Place. (All Photographs by Hazel Quarmby)
