Tram Driving Experience Day at Black Country Living Museum

The latest heritage tramway in the UK to offer a Tram Driving Experience Day is the Black County Living Museum although if you want to get your hands on a 3’6” gauge tram you will have to be quick as only four places on each day are available!

As part of the Museum’s new Experience Days Tram Driving Experience Days will take place on 7th and 13th November 2017 with tickets on sale from Monday 3rd April. The day starts off as you join the expert team to learn all about the history and workings of the trams in the collection and then the track is covered before lunch is provided. After lunch it is time to take the controls and drive the tram along the route at the Museum whilst also performing Guard duties. A photo will also be taken showing participants in the “driving seat” to remember the day for many years to come.

A full driving licence is required to take part in the experience and it will cost £175 per person (which includes drinks and lunch). The day starts at 1000 and lasts until 1600. There are only spaces for four people maximum.
