Metrolink disrupted after another car gets stuck

Services on the Manchester Airport Metrolink line were suspended during the afternoon of Friday 16th December after a car drove onto the tracks at Baguley becoming stuck. Passengers on board 3061 had to get off the tram with the use of ladders and the service was split to run from Cornbrook to Sale Water Park and Roundthorn to Manchester Airport. The car had to be removed from the track allowing services to resume at approximately 1500.

1 Response to Metrolink disrupted after another car gets stuck

  1. David Lloyd says:

I was on the service, only 6 passengers actually got off, and then 3 of us got back on after our offer to push the car out of the way was declined by the police at the scene The tram continued on its way after about 40 minutes, In fairness to Metrolink they had a recovery truck on scene after 20 minute and this removed the car, they have obviously got stray car removal down to fine art now!
