We spread our wings outside of the British Isles for this collection of photos with an Around the World in Trams special featuring images taken at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2018 Trolley Fair. This event takes place yearly and consists of four parades of trolley cars during the operating day. These parades are not the traditional type of parade rather the cars are pulled up to the Richofol platform near the Founder's Carbarn where a lecture on the specific car is offered to those attending. In addition to these parades a two car 15 minute schedule was also maintained throughout the day. The demonstration line is built to the Pennsylvania Trolley Gauge of 5 feet 2.5 inches and although the majority of trolley cars featuring here were constructed to run on that gauge three (Rio de Janeiro 1758, Boston Elevated Railway 3612 and Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 89) have had to be converted for operation at the museum. In this collection we feature the trolleys during these parades although the photographer admits he was badly positioned for the first of the parades and as such photos are featured of these cars later in the day.
