Gallery 789: Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2018 Trolley Fair

It doesn't matter which side of the Atlantic you are - enthusiast events still like a good old works car in action! The fourth Parade featured the Works Cars at the museum with Boston Elevated Railway 3618 first out. This is a double truck motorised bottom dump motor car built in 1927 by the Differential Car Company. After its ownership transferred to the Metropoiltan Transit Authority in 1947 it remained in service until retirement in 1959. At that time it became one of two similar cars acquired by the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkpart, Maine but for 3618 its acquisition was mainly for its trucks. Its body was later sold on the Pennsylvanie Trolley Museum in 1974 and has now been remounted on two Differential Arch Bar Pennsylvania Trolley gauge trucks and restored to operation.
