Gallery 789: Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2018 Trolley Fair

The first of the four Parades to take place on the day featured cars formerly from the Pittsburgh area and was led by Pittsburgh Railways 3756. This is a PN Jones designed low floor single ended Peter Witt type car and was one of 25 cars purchased for service on the Washington and Charleroi interurban lines. It was taken out of service in 1928 but was then rebuilt during World War II as a double ended car with an off side door added for service on route 23 to Neville Island. It was finally withdrawn again in 1954 and moved to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum and has been used on occasions in Pittsburgh since entering preservation.
