Gallery 789: Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2018 Trolley Fair

Although this Parade should have been cars outside of the Pennsylvania area the last one to appear was in fact a native Pittsburgh car. Pittsburgh Railways 3487 had been due to appear earlier the day but an electrical fault had put paid to this but after a repair it was able to appear after all and replaced West Penn Railways Company 832 which had a major traction motor issue. 3487 was built in May 1905 and remained in service until 1934 and was then rebuilt as a wrecker-snowplough numbered M132. It was assigned to the Charleroi car barn until withdrawal in 1956. The Pittsburgh Electric Railway Club converted it back to a passenger car and it was used for excursions in Pittsburgh until moving to the Pennsylvanie Trolley Museum. To this day it remains in the same condition as the museum acquired it in.
