In a change of format for 2005 BRITISH TRAMS ONLINE are proud to publish a brief review of the tram events of 2005. In Nottingham trams are starting to be fitted with CCTV to try and help passengers feel safer and also to record any vital incidents. Here we have 208 at Lace Market heading for Station Street on 10 June 2005.

Despite hopes that they would know whether the proposed extensions of NET will get the go-ahead no decision has been forthcoming from the DfT, something all parties are now anxious for. 215 was captured at Station Street on 11 June 2005.

Stagecoach Supertram are starting to refresh their trams with several now having received electronic destination blinds, CCTV to be fitted and rumours of a start on refurbishing the trams in 2006. 114 was caught on camera at Sheffield Station/Sheffield Hallam University on 9 June 2005.
