| Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2024 Trolley Fair |
![]() Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 89 is a four wheel General Electric 25 ton model diesel electric locomotive with 150 horsepower; it has a single General Electric 733 traction motor. This locomotive was built by the General Electric Company (serial number 31789) in May 1953. This locomotive was originally built for the Landis Tool Company and did not carry a number when it was built. This locomotive was built as a standard gauge unit and has had several owners prior to coming to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during 2008. After its acquisition this locomotive was completely rebuilt with the wheelsets widened out to the Pennsylvania traction gauge of five feet, two and a half inches. |
