Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2024 Trolley Fair

West Penn Railways 832 is a double truck interurban car with the distinctive "curved sides" of the Cincinnati Car Company, who built the car (order number 3045) in 1930. This car rides on two Brill 76E2 trucks each of which mount two Westinghouse 1425A traction motors, the controller is a K75A. This car was built to the Pennsylvania Trolley gauge. For service on the Valley Route of the West Penn Railways this car was named "Miss Brackenridge". This car was transferred to the Coke Region lines after the Valley Route was closed during 1937. With the final shutdown of the West Penn Railways on 9th August 1952 it was destined for the scrapper. 832 was purchased by the Pittsburgh Electric Railway Club during 1953 and moved to the Pittsburgh Railways Charleroi carhouse for storage. In February 1954 832 was operated over the Pittsburgh Railways Washington interurban line, delivering itself to the site of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. In 2016 832 completed a restoration at the Brookville Locomotive Works; it was returned to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum for completion of the work. This car was launched on 6th June 2018 but developed a traction motor issue shortly thereafter. It did not re-enter service until late 2019.
