With its three platform layout and its location just by the West Midlands Metro depot, Wednesbury Parkway is well placed to change over trams when one has a fault and needs to go in for some attention. And so it was when this photo was taken with new Urbos100 38 suffering from a fault as it was working a northbound service to Wolverhampton St George’s. The tram was diverted into platform 3 (the outer platform of the island) and Urbso3 17 was already ready and waiting to continue the journey north in the adjacent platform 2.
