 Another car seen stored outside is San Francisco Muni 1258 a Boeing Vertol LRV which was introduced in 1978 eventually replacing the PCC cars on all 5 routes that were in operation at the time. San Francisco and Boston were the only US cities to buy these LRV's and they suffered from reliability issues. San Francisco initially had 100 of these cars but later bought a further 31 from Boston who had rejected their fleet. |
