Gallery 963: Around the World in Trams Special - Western Railway Museum, Rio Vista

A PCC originally built for Toronto but by the time it arrived at the museum it was known as San Francisco Municipal Railway 1190 having been purchased from Toronto in 1973. This was one of 300 PCC cars which were acquired by Toronton between 1938 and 1942 and was then transferred to San Francisco to augment the fleet when the Market Street Subway was under construction. As can be seen here the car was not in the best of condition in July 2002 and it is no longer part of the museum collection today.
