Gallery 946: Picture in Time Special - Trams at Beamish

October 1986 in the Town at Beamish and we catch sight of Sheffield 513 running in service. Possibly best known in preservation for its use in Blackpool the tram remains part of the Beamish fleet although has seen more use elsewhere. It was restored in 1983 then moved to Blackpool in October 1984 before returning to the north east in late 1985. After a further period of operation at Beamish 513 was back off to Blackpool in 2001 where it could be found for 10 years. After that loan spell ended it was transferred to the East Anglia Transport Museum where it can be seen on loan today.
