Gallery 586: Picture in Time Special - Douglas Horse Tramway

18 is the sole remaining double decker on the tramway and was one of a batch of trams purchased second hand in 1887 from South Shields. The tram hasn't always been a double decker having been converted into a single decker for a time but it returned to its original condition during the 1980s. In this view we see the tram at the Sea Terminal on 28th July 2008.
