Gallery 455: Blackpool Heritage Service - Easter Saturday 19th April 2014

Back onto the Promendade and we catch up with Balloon 717 which passes Manchester Square on its way to Pleasure Beach. Because of restricted access to Rigby Road Depot the heritage trams were based at Starr Gate for the duration of the weekend which meant that in order to reach Pleasure Beach loop trams had to run all the way from Starr Gate to Foxhall and then back to Pleasure Beach. 717 was on its way to Pleasure Beach for its naming ceremony and this view shows the new nameplates covered over.
