Gallery 455: Blackpool Heritage Service - Easter Saturday 19th April 2014

The second of three days of the Easter Heritage operation in Blackpool was met by more sunshine and another good selection of trams in service. Again a four tram service was in operation but thanks to changeovers during the middle of day six trams carried passengers. The day started off with Twin Car 272+T2 and Boat 600 operating through to Fleetwood with the other two morning trams being Standard 147 and Bolton 66. The latter two trams were replaced by Balloon 717 - which was named "Walter Luff" in a ceremony at Pleasure Beach loop - and Boat 230 during the early afternoon. The chance was also taken to display two of the widened Balloons on Blundell Street with 719 and 713 available for photos. This collection features photos of most of the above plus a few Flexities are thrown in for good measure - including all over adverted 016.

Photographs in this collection were taken by Gareth Prior
