| Around the World in Trams - The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum 2024 Trolley Fair |
![]() This is a heavyweight center entrance steel interurban car that was built for the Red Arrow Lines by J.G. Brill during 1926 (order 22212) for the Philadelphia and West Chester as their 66. This car rides on two Brill 27MCB2X each of which mounts two General Electric 203L traction motors; the controllers are General Electric MC97’s. This car was built to the Pennsylvania Trolley gauge. This car became Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company ("Red Arrow Lines") 66 on 19th December 1935 as a result of a corporate reorganization. Ownership of the car passed to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority ("SEPTA") as of 29th January 1970; this car retaining the number 66. This car was acquired for restoration by the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during 1970. |
