20 Photos of... Scottish heritage trams

As another Bank Holiday Bonus of photos we bring you "20 Photos of..." Scottish heritage trams. This gallery includes relatively recent photos of trams which are either Scottish trams in that they operated somewhere in that country during the main traditional tram era or are shown doing so in the heritage era.

Its a collection which is dominated by Glasgow - but when you consider the size of that tramway and the number of trams from there which have survived into preservation that's not really a surprise is it! We see Glasgow trams in service on the Summerlee Heritage Tramway as well as at Crich, and that includes Liverpool 869 which ended its days as Glasgow 1055 of course, and there are also some static exhibits too such as at the Riverside Museum and there's Glasgow 1016's remains in Blackpool.

It may be almost exclusively Glasgow but its not completely orange as we feature Dundee 21 and Edinburgh 35 on display at Crich, and there is also Dusseldorf 392 which comes into the tram operating in Scotland category.

This isn't mention to be a complete collection of all those trams from Scotland which still exist but is a small selection to show just what the country still has to offer preservation today.

Trams included in this collection are: Dusseldorf 392, Dundee 21, Edinburgh 35, Glasgow trams 22, 543, 672, 812, 1016, 1017, 1068 (and as Paisley 68), 1100, 1115, 1282 and 1297, and Liverpool 869.
