Manchester’s Metrolink system is unique in modern tram systems in the UK in that they have two depots where their fleet of trams for the core service can be found and on Christmas Day this photo shows the newer of the two facilities – Trafford Depot. Eight of the stabling tracks – or roads as they are described on the destination screens – are seen in this view with the entire fleet of M5000s on depot (this depot and Queens Road) giving rare busy daylight images such as this.
