Over the next eight years the tram was gradually restored to its Gateshead condition as no. 5 and would run on and off until 2007 when it was taken out of service once again. It now requires another visit to the workshop before it can be considered for a return to service but is seen here on 8th June 2013 when on static display on the depot fan.
