Birkenhead 20 has been a long-standing member of the operational fleet on the Wirral Heritage Tramway having returned to service in 1999 following an extensive restoration. Over the past 20 years that this website has been in existence it has also spent two periods away on loan – at Beamish and in Blackpool. But it was on its home tramway when seen here on 4th October 2015 having just departed from Woodside Ferry. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)
