I have seen this picture many times and I must say that I am not convinced that this is car 43. To me it looks like 49. I have zoomed in on the fleet number and it doe’s appear to be 49. Just to say that I am the current owner of 43, I cannot see any evidence of double vestibules ever being attached to the body. When these were sold of as garden sheds etc, I would have thought that the body would have been intact to provide more shed space rather that to chop off the ends?? However, I could be wrong. Perhaps the evidence will reveal itself when we get it moved to Heaton Park! Watch this space.
