Out and About: Another trip to Edinburgh

269-rc

As part of the Trams to Newhaven extension, the stop at York Place will be closed during 2022 with a replacement being constructed just around the corner at Picardy Place. The single platform here will be demolished to allow the twin tracks of the line to be put in place. This photo shows 269 – in an advert for Scotland. Lets’ Do Net Zero. – having just departed from the stop and using the crossover to gain the westbound track. St Paul’s and St George’s Church (Scottish Episcopal Church) overlooks the tramstop while the repurposed office block to the left of the church is now a Premier Inn.
