Picture of the Week Photos archive 2020

On 28th August 1970 the Seaton Tramway ran its first passenger services when 8 operated under battery power between Riverside and Bobsworth Bridge. Over the next 50 years the tramway has gone from strength to strength with regular services now running all way from Seaton to Colyton - and 8 is still a regular performer! To mark the 50th anniversary of services we bring you photos from the 2007 End of Season Gala at Seaton this week as well as this week's front page photo. This shows the aforementioned 8 - during its pink years! - at Colyton with 2 at the loading stop. 8 is about to reverse onto the siding at Colyton with the driver just changing the points. The date is 27th October 2007.
