Gallery 972: Crich Tramway Village Tram Day - 18th September 2021 |
Saturday 18th September 2021 saw the return of Tram Day to the Crich Tramway Village following a two year gap. As always this event saw an intensive service of electric passenger trams along with Works Cars on demomstration runs and various photo line-ups on the depot fan. This year the theme of the photo line-ups was Workshop Projects with three different line-ups during the day. The morning saw the Current Workshop Programme with London County Council 1, Newcastle 102 and London Transport 1622 featuring while at lunchtime it was the Winter Workshop Programme which included Blackpool 40, Blackpool & Fleetwood 40 and London United Tramways 159. Finally in the afternoon it was the Future Workshop Programme which included Blackpool 298 and its new underframe positioned alongside fellow Blackpool Brush Car 630. In total 14 passenger trams ran in service with Cardiff 131 and Croydon Tramlink 058 flying the flag for the Works fleet while Blackpool 166 and London Transport 1622 were both out on test during the event ahead of their returns to service.
In this collection we feature the highlights of the event which was a welcome return to enthusiasts' events at Crich. * A full report of the event can be read here. |
