 The other end of "Maria". It would only remain operational on the Snaefell Mountain Railway until the end of 1998 when it was withdrawn. But that wasn't where its history would end as was converted into a works car for the Manx Electric Railway. Completed in 2004, the newly numbered 34 has had a problematic existence since but does have the honour of having run on the Isle of Man Steam Railway and Douglas Bay Horse Tramway as well - the only vehicle to have run on all four over the years. |
