A prominent name sticker can be seen on 1012 as it seen on the approach to Shudehill with a Bury to Altrincham service as a single tram. The name on the tram is "CATHERINE HALLETT", after the Metrolink Expansion Project Manager, and would have a few more months being carried as it was removed in November 2006 (having been applied in July 2004. From the November the tram would be named "VIRGIN MEGASTORES", one of many names which were in effect just sponsorship at a time when adverts on the trams were not part of the commercial offering.
